ABOUT ME

I am Kaisa - the person behind the lens and responsible for the photos that are displayed on this page. I'm a self taught photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden, with a special love for landscape, nature, macro/close-up and wild life.  My photographic journey began in 2010 when I discovered the artistry of photography using my smartphone. Two years later, in 2012, I took a step forward by investing in my first Canon camera.

I have been interested in editing images since 1998. At that time I used MS Paint to create birthday cards, invitations, modify pictures etc. Sadly there was a limitation what I was able to edit and create so I started to learn Adobe Photoshop. I spent hundreds of hours in front of Photoshop, making lots of errors but also learned a lot. Today I have good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw and Lightroom, and keep myself updated with the latest news in these programs.

My identical twin sister, Kirsti, and I collaborate extensively in our photography journey. We hold weekly meetings where we explore each other's photos, learning from one another and offering valuable suggestions for improvement. Despite being in the same location at the same time we each possess our distinct style and artistic vision resulting in uniquely captivating photographs. We believe that neither of us is a mere copy of the other, embracing our individuality as artists.
