Photography is the story I fail to put into words

Welcome to my homepage
Hi, I'm Kaisa - the photographer behind all the images you see here. I'm really into capturing landscapes, nature, close-ups and wild life. What started as a hobby has grown into something I'm truly passionate about, and now I'm lucky enough to do it as my job. Every time I press the shutter button, it's a chance to share my creativity and how I see the world.
Welcome, and thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. Hope you enjoy the photos.
The purpose of photography
Essentially, the purpose of photography is to communicate and document moments in time. When you take a photograph and share it with others you're showing a moment that was frozen through a picture. This moment can tell someone many things from the environment to what people are doing.
Photographs possess a remarkable ability to preserve cherished memories, evoking nostalgia and inspiring smiles. They hold the power to transport us back to significant events, recapture the emotions we once felt, and grant us a tangible connection to the past.
What makes a photograph great?
The essence of a truly great photograph lies in inspiration. A photo can be technically accurate on all counts with good composition, exposure, focus, light, and timing - and still be boring.
A good photograph is one
that communicates a fact, touches the heart, and leaves the viewer a changed
person for having seen it. It is in a word, effective. Capturing images that
communicate to the viewers will be considered a good photograph. The viewer
might be able to relate through personal experience.

Below is a truly inspiring quote by Joan Miro which is one my favorite photography quotes:
You can look at a picture for a week and never think of it again.
You can also look at a picture for a second and think of it all your life.
